What started as a passion for creating functional and elegant baskets has grown into Koba Handmade—a brand that transforms and inspires spaces. From a small home workshop, I craft artisanal baskets with a focus on craftsmanship, sustainability, and environmental consciousness.
Sustainable Craftsmanship
Sustainability is at the heart of everything I create. By using recycled cotton and handcrafting each product, I make a conscious choice for an eco-friendly approach. This not only gives each piece a unique character but also makes it a responsible choice for interior decoration.
From Recycled Cotton to Handmade Baskets
The process begins with high-quality rope, produced in Belgium from recycled cotton. This rope serves as the foundation of every basket and is carefully transformed in my home workshop.
Using a zigzag stitch, I sew the rope together layer by layer until the basket reaches the desired width and height. This requires precision, time, and craftsmanship, ensuring each piece is of the highest quality.
The Perfect Finishing Touch
Once the basket takes its final shape, it is completed with a leather strap. This small yet refined detail adds a touch of elegance while enhancing the durability of the final product.
